Before purchasing my set of wooden bed risers for our home, I was looking at all of the different models on Amazon to determine which ones would work best for us. While looking I noticed some plastic bed risers. They looked like they were a decent product and only cost $9.99 for the set. However, after reading more about them, I was not willing to take a chance just to save a few extra dollars.
Let me first point out that the set I am referring to are black, come in a set of four, and cost just under $10. There are other sets of plastic bed risers that seem to work great. The reviews for the particular set I am referring to were mostly negative. And, that is always a big red flag to me.
The negative reviews focused on a few key issues. Several people complained that the bed lifters came damaged in the mail. They claimed that one or more of the risers were already broken when they received them. The other main complaint is that they would break over time. Out of nowhere they would just crack, which could not only be annoying, but also dangerous. A few people mentioned buying more to replace the cracked ones. I think you’d be better off just buying a quality set to begin with.
Obviously after reading these complaints, I passed on the plastic bed risers. Sure, the price was right and some people were pleased with them. But to me, the large number of negative reviews kept me from buying them. There are several other quality bed risers to choose from. I only have positive things to say about the wooden bed risers we chose.
